Ken Hornak has had a great interest in photography since he attended a weekend enrichment course in seventh grade and learned how to develop and print black and white film. He maintained his own home-based darkroom through high school. However, he also discovered computers during this time and programming became his career goal.
Ken has been a resident of Ann Arbor since 1984 when he moved here to attend The University of Michigan where he graduated with a Computer Science degree.
As digital photography matured, he rediscovered his passion for photography and realized that it now dovetailed nicely with his career with computers. Shooting thousands of pictures no longer meant a huge investment in film, developing and printing.
For the past eleven years Ken has been nurturing and improving his photographer’s eye and continues to explore all facets of photography.
